Gwen, LCSW, RPT is a therapist at SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center. Gwen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over 30 years of experience in treating traumatized children, their families, and adults. Gwen received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1990 at The University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1977 from State University of New York, Oswego. Gwen is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Alternatives For Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. She has been a Registered Play Therapist since 1994, and completed attachment and trauma training under The Georgia Office of Adoptions in 2000. Gwen authored a chapter in the book, Families Under Fire, addressing use of play therapy for attachment issues in military families. As a therapist for SafePath, Gwen provides support, and education to families as well as individual and family therapy to their children who have experienced trauma.
